The NER series of electric chain hoists from Harrington are engineered with advanced technology, resulting in high-quality, low headroom, full-featured hoists designed for reliable performance in both routine and severe working environments. Key features include "The Guardian" smart brake technology, which utilizes a current-driven electromagnetic brake that does not release unless the motor is energized, a grade 80 nickel-plated load chain, a count hour meter that records and displays the number of lowering starts and hoist operating time, and a five-pocket load sheave to reduce vibration and extend chain life. Additionally, the hoists feature a cooler motor and brake due to a fan-cooled motor, low profile upper and lower limit switches, and plug-in pendant and power supply cords. These hoists are UL listed to UL 1340, built to be environmentally friendly by meeting RoHS requirements, and exceed the ASME H4 duty rating. Each hoist is accompanied by a test certificate verifying it has been factory load tested to 125% of its rated capacity in accordance with ASME B30.16.
