The NER Dual Speed series of electric chain hoists from Harrington features an under the cover variable frequency drive that provides exceptional load control and field-adjustable two speeds with a speed ratio of up to 12:1. Key attributes include "The Guardian" smart brake technology, which employs a current-driven electromagnetic brake that does not release unless the motor is energized, and a grade 80 nickel plated load chain. The variable frequency drive allows for speed adjustability and includes integral count hour functionality, recording and displaying the number of lowering starts and hoist on time. Additional features comprise a five-pocket load sheave to reduce vibration and extend chain life, a cooler motor and brake due to the fan-cooled motor, low-profile upper and lower limit switches, and plug-in pendant and power supply cords. The hoists are UL listed to UL 1340 and comply with RoHS requirements, exceeding the ASME H4 duty rating. Each hoist is supplied with a test certificate verifying that it has been factory load tested to 125% of its rated capacity in accordance with ASME B30.16.
