The NER series of electric chain hoists from Harrington are engineered with advanced technology, resulting in high-quality, low headroom, and full-featured hoists that deliver reliable performance in both routine and severe working environments. Key features include "The Guardian" smart brake technology, which utilizes a current-driven electromagnetic brake that remains engaged unless the motor is energized. The hoists also feature a grade 80 nickel plated load chain, a count hour meter that records and displays the number of lowering starts and hoist on time, and a five-pocket load sheave designed to reduce vibration and extend chain life. The fan-cooled motor contributes to a cooler motor and brake operation, while low profile upper and lower limit switches enhance usability. Additionally, the hoists come with plug-in pendant and power supply cords. They are UL listed to UL 1340, built in compliance with RoHS requirements, and exceed the ASME H4 duty rating. Each hoist is provided with a test certificate verifying that it has been factory load tested to 125% of its rated capacity in accordance with ASME B30.16.
