The NER series of electric chain hoists from Harrington incorporates advanced technology, resulting in high-quality, low headroom, full-featured hoists that deliver reliable performance in both routine and severe working environments. Each hoist includes "The Guardian" smart brake technology, a current-driven electromagnetic brake that only releases when the motor is energized, a grade 80 nickel-plated load chain, and a count hour meter that records and displays the number of lowering starts and hoist on time. The design features a 5-pocket load sheave to minimize vibration and extend chain life, a cooler motor and brake due to the fan-cooled motor, and low profile upper and lower limit switches along with plug-in pendant and power supply cords. The hoists are UL listed to UL 1340, environmentally friendly by meeting RoHS requirements, and exceed the ASME H4 duty rating. Additionally, all hoists come with a test certificate verifying that they have been factory load tested to 125% of their rated capacity in accordance with ASME B30.16.
