The Nerp series of electric chain hoists from Harrington are engineered with advanced technology and a push/pull trolley, resulting in high-quality, low headroom, full-featured hoists suitable for both routine and severe working environments. Key features include "The Guardian" smart brake technology, a current-driven electromagnetic brake that remains engaged unless the motor is energized, a Grade 80 nickel-plated load chain, and a count hour meter that records and displays the number of lowering starts and hoist operation time. The design incorporates a five-pocket load sheave to reduce vibration and extend chain life, a fan-cooled motor for a cooler operating temperature, and low-profile upper and lower limit switches. Additionally, the hoists come with plug-in pendant and power supply cords. These hoists are UL listed to UL 1340, environmentally friendly and compliant with RoHS requirements, exceeding ASME H4 duty ratings. Each hoist is supplied with a test certificate verifying it has been factory load tested to 125% of its rated capacity, in accordance with ASME B30.16.
