The NER series of electric chain hoists from Harrington are designed using advanced technology, resulting in high-quality, low headroom, full-featured hoists that deliver reliable performance in both routine and severe working environments. Key features include "The Guardian" smart brake technology, which utilizes a current-driven electromagnetic brake that does not release unless the motor is energized; a grade 80 nickel-plated load chain; a count hour meter that records and displays the number of lowering starts and hoist-on time; and a 5-pocket load sheave that reduces vibration and extends chain life. Additionally, these hoists feature a fan-cooled motor for cooler motor and brake operation, low profile upper and lower limit switches, and plug-in pendant and power supply cords. They are UL listed to UL 1340, built environmentally friendly to meet RoHS requirements, and exceed ASME H4 duty rating. Each hoist is accompanied by a test certificate verifying that it has been factory load tested to 125% of its rated capacity, in accordance with ASME B30.16.
