The NER series of electric chain hoists from Harrington features advanced technology for high quality, low headroom, and full-featured performance suitable for both routine and severe working environments. Key features include "The Guardian" smart brake technology, a current-driven electromagnetic brake that only releases when the motor is energized, a grade 80 nickel-plated load chain, and a count hour meter that records the number of lowering starts and hoist on time. The design incorporates a five-pocket load sheave to minimize vibration and extend chain life, along with a fan-cooled motor for cooler operation. Additional specifications include low profile upper and lower limit switches, as well as plug-in pendant and power supply cords. The hoists are UL listed to UL 1340, meet RoHS requirements for environmental safety, and exceed the ASME H4 duty rating. Each hoist comes with a test certificate verifying that it has been factory load tested to 125% of its rated capacity, in accordance with ASME B30.16.
