The Nerp series of electric chain hoists from Harrington are engineered with advanced technology and include a push/pull trolley, offering high quality, low headroom, full-featured operation suitable for both routine tasks and harsh working environments. Notable features comprise "The Guardian" smart brake technology, which utilizes a current-driven electromagnetic brake that only releases when the motor is energized, as well as grade 80 nickel plated load chain. Additional attributes include a count hour meter for tracking lowering starts and hoist operational time, a five-pocket load sheave designed to reduce vibration and extend chain life, a cooler motor and brake due to the fan-cooled motor, low profile upper and lower limit switches, and plug-in pendant and power supply cords. The hoists are UL listed to UL 1340 and comply with environmental standards, meeting RoHS requirements while exceeding ASME H4 duty rating. Each unit comes with a test certificate confirming that it has been factory load tested to 125% of its rated capacity in accordance with ASME B30.16.
