The Nerp series of electric chain hoists from Harrington are engineered with advanced technology and incorporate a push/pull trolley for optimal functionality. These hoists are characterized by their high quality and low headroom design, making them suitable for both routine and severe working environments. Key features include "The Guardian" smart brake technology, a current-driven electromagnetic brake that remains engaged until the motor is energized, and a grade 80 nickel-plated load chain. Additionally, they come equipped with a count hour meter that records and displays the number of lowering starts and hoist operating time, a five-pocket load sheave designed to reduce vibration and extend chain life, and a cooler motor and brake aided by a fan-cooled motor. The hoists also feature low-profile upper and lower limit switches, as well as plug-in pendant and power supply cords. These units are UL listed to UL 1340, built to be environmentally friendly in compliance with RoHS requirements, and exceed the ASME H4 duty rating. Each hoist is provided with a test certificate confirming that it has been factory load tested to 125% of its rated capacity, in accordance with ASME B30.16.
