The Nerp series of electric chain hoists from Harrington are engineered with advanced technology and feature a push/pull trolley for enhanced performance. These hoists are designed to deliver reliable operation in both routine and severe working environments. Key features include "The Guardian" smart brake technology, which employs a current-driven electromagnetic brake that only releases when the motor is energized. The hoists utilize a grade 80 nickel-plated load chain and are equipped with a count hour meter that records and displays the number of lowering starts and hoist on time. Additionally, they incorporate a 5-pocket load sheave to minimize vibration and prolong chain life, as well as a fan-cooled motor that contributes to a cooler operating condition for both the motor and brake. The design includes low profile upper and lower limit switches along with plug-in pendant and power supply cords. These hoists are UL listed to UL 1340, built to be environmentally friendly in compliance with RoHS requirements, and exceed the ASME H4 duty rating. Each hoist is supplied with a test certificate confirming that it has been factory load tested to 125% of its rated capacity, in accordance with ASME B30.16.
