The Nerm series of electric chain hoists from Harrington incorporates advanced technology and includes a motorized trolley, resulting in high-quality, low headroom, full-featured hoists and trolleys that offer reliable performance in both routine and severe working environments. Key hoist features consist of "The Guardian" smart brake technology, a current-driven electromagnetic brake that only releases when the motor is energized, grade 80 nickel-plated load chain, a count hour meter that records and displays the number of lowering starts and hoist on time, a five-pocket load sheave designed to reduce vibration and extend chain life, a cooler motor and brake attributed to the fan-cooled motor, low-profile upper and lower limit switches, and plug-in pendant and power supply cords. The hoists are UL listed to UL 1340, built to be environmentally friendly in compliance with RoHS requirements, and exceed the ASME H4 duty rating. The trolley features include an extremely durable and reliable pull-rotor brake, drop stops, rubber bumpers, and side guide rollers to promote smoother trolley motion and reduced beam wear. Each hoist comes with a test certificate verifying that it has been factory load tested to 125% of its rated capacity, in accordance with ASME B30.16.
