The NERM series of electric chain hoists from Harrington is designed with the latest technology and features a motorized trolley, resulting in high-quality, low headroom hoists and trolleys that deliver reliable performance in both routine and severe working environments. The hoist includes "The Guardian" smart brake technology, which consists of a current-driven electromagnetic brake that only releases when the motor is energized. It also features a grade 80 nickel-plated load chain, a count hour meter to track the number of lowering starts and hoist on time, a five-pocket load sheave to reduce vibration and extend chain life, a cooler motor and brake due to the fan-cooled motor, and low-profile upper and lower limit switches along with plug-in pendant and power supply cords. The hoists are UL listed to UL 1340, built to meet RoHS requirements, and exceed the ASME H4 duty rating. The trolley includes a durable pull-rotor brake, drop stops, rubber bumpers, and side guide rollers for enhanced trolley motion and reduced beam wear. Each hoist comes with a test certificate verifying it has been factory load tested to 125% of its rated capacity in accordance with ASME B30.16.
