The Nerm series of electric chain hoists from Harrington is designed with advanced technology and includes a motorized trolley, resulting in high-quality, low headroom, full-featured hoists and trolleys that deliver reliable performance in both routine and severe working environments. The hoist includes features such as "The Guardian" smart brake technology, a current-driven electromagnetic brake that only releases when the motor is energized, grade 80 nickel-plated load chain, and a count hour meter that records the number of lowering starts and hoist on time. It also integrates a five-pocket load sheave to reduce vibration and extend chain life, a cooler motor and brake due to the fan-cooled motor, low profile upper and lower limit switches, and plug-in pendant and power supply cords. The hoists are UL listed to UL 1340, built environmentally friendly to meet RoHS requirements, and exceed the ASME H4 duty rating. The trolley features include a highly durable and reliable pull-rotor brake, drop stops, rubber bumpers, and side guide rollers, which facilitate smoother trolley motion and reduce beam wear. Additionally, all hoists come with a test certificate verifying that they have been factory load tested to 125% of their rated capacity, in accordance with ASME B30.16.
