The NERM series of electric chain hoists from Harrington incorporates advanced technology and features a motorized trolley for enhanced performance in various environments. The hoists include "The Guardian" smart brake technology, which functions with a current-driven electromagnetic brake that only releases when the motor is energized. They come equipped with a grade 80 nickel-plated load chain, a count hour meter that records the number of lowering starts and hoist operating time, and a five-pocket load sheave designed to reduce vibration and extend chain life. The fan-cooled motor contributes to a cooler motor and brake performance, while low profile upper and lower limit switches enhance operational safety. The hoists feature plug-in pendant and power supply cords, and are UL listed to UL 1340, meeting RoHS requirements and exceeding the ASME H4 duty rating. The trolley is designed with a durable pull-rotor brake, drop stops, rubber bumpers, and side guide rollers to ensure smoother operation and reduced beam wear. All hoists come with a test certificate verifying that they have been factory load tested to 125% of their rated capacity, in accordance with ASME B30.16.
