The Nerm series of electric chain hoists from Harrington incorporates advanced technology and a motorized trolley, resulting in high-quality, low headroom, full-featured hoists and trolleys designed for reliable performance in both routine and severe working environments. Key features of the hoist include "The Guardian" smart brake technology, which utilizes a current-driven electromagnetic brake that remains engaged until the motor is powered, grade 80 nickel-plated load chain, a count hour meter that records and displays the number of lowering starts and hoist operation time, a 5-pocket load sheave to minimize vibration and extend chain life, and a fan-cooled motor that ensures cooler operation of the motor and brake. Additional specifications include low profile upper and lower limit switches, as well as plug-in pendant and power supply cords. These hoists are UL listed to UL 1340, built environmentally friendly to meet RoHS requirements, and exceed the ASME H4 duty rating. The trolley features include a highly durable pull-rotor brake, drop stops, rubber bumpers, and side guide rollers that enhance trolley motion and reduce beam wear. Each hoist is supplied with a test certificate confirming factory load testing to 125% of the rated capacity, in compliance with ASME B30.16.
