The Nerm series of electric chain hoists from Harrington incorporates advanced technology and features a motorized trolley, resulting in high-quality, low headroom hoists and trolleys that deliver reliable performance in both routine and severe working environments. The hoists are equipped with "The Guardian" smart brake technology, which utilizes a current-driven electromagnetic brake that only releases when the motor is energized. Additional features include a grade 80 nickel plated load chain, a count hour meter that tracks the number of lowering starts and hoist on time, a 5-pocket load sheave designed to reduce vibration and extend chain life, a fan-cooled motor that enhances cooler operation of both the motor and brake, low profile upper and lower limit switches, and plug-in pendant and power supply cords. The hoists are UL listed to UL 1340, adhere to RoHS requirements, and exceed the ASME H4 duty rating. The trolley includes a robust pull-rotor brake, drop stops, rubber bumpers, and side guide rollers to ensure smoother motion and minimize beam wear. Each hoist comes with a test certificate verifying that it has been factory load tested to 125% of its rated capacity, in compliance with ASME B30.16.
