The Zurn Wilkins model ZW1017XL Aqua-Gard® tempering mixing valve, when installed at the hot water source, is designed to mix hot and cold water to reduce the temperature of the hot water in the distribution system to 122°F (50°C) or less. The ZW1017XL's superior accuracy ensures safe water temperature from minimum to maximum flow rate, with an outlet temperature range of 95-131°F (35-55°C) and a hot supply temperature of 120-195°F max. (49-90.5°C), while the cold supply temperature ranges from 40-75°F (4.4-23.8°C). The set temperature accuracy is +/- 4°F (2°C). This valve meets standard compliance requirements, being ASSE® listed 1017, CSA® certified, and certified to NSF/ANSI 372 by IAPMO R&T, as well as being NSF® listed to standard 61, section 9, annex G.
