The 3M™ Scotch-Brite™ Roloc™ Disc RD-ZB measures 1" x 5/8" and features a ceramic 50 grit abrasive designed for fast cutting action combined with the 3M™ Roloc™ quick change attachment system, allowing efficient cleaning, stripping, deburring, blending, finishing, polishing, scratching, and removal of rust and coatings without damaging the base material. Under normal use, the bristles remain securely in place and achieve desired finishes with light pressure. The disc is suitable for steel, aluminum, and various other metals, making it ideal for general maintenance, automotive, and engine rebuilding applications. The 3M™ ceramic abrasive grain is a proprietary ceramic mineral that enhances toughness and hardness, blended with aluminum oxide for a hard, long-lasting mineral optimized for moderate to heavy stock removal. These ceramic abrasives cut fast and manage intense heat and stress, surpassing aluminum oxide abrasives in cut rate and durability, making them excellent for industrial grinding and finishing. Scotch-Brite™ abrasives incorporate abrasives into a non-woven fiber matrix, ensuring consistent performance throughout the product's life; the open-web material runs cool and resists loading to maximize cutting efficiency by minimizing fiber clogging. Applications include adhesive removal, blending (including corners), cleaning, coating removal, deburring, finishing, paint stripping, polishing, prepping metal before painting, rust removal, sealant removal, and weld cleaning.
