The 3M™ Scotch-Brite™ radial bristle disc measures 3 inches in diameter by 3/8 inch thickness and features an 80 grit ceramic abrasive. It utilizes proprietary 3M™ ceramic abrasive grain embedded in molded, flexible bristles, providing more surface contact than wire brushes while maintaining abrasive properties throughout the disc's life. The disc effectively removes paint, stains, adhesives, weld burns, rust, heavy oxides, and surface contaminants from large areas with light pressure. Designed to last longer than wire and other abrasive discs, it is suitable for use on aluminum, brass, bronze, carbon steel, cast iron, stainless steel, and other metals across general industrial, aerospace, automotive, metalworking, and transportation applications. The ceramic aluminum oxide blend is engineered for enhanced toughness and hardness, fracturing frequently to outperform traditional aluminum oxide abrasives in cut-rate and durability, making it ideal for moderate to heavy stock removal and finishing tasks. Scotch-Brite™ abrasives use a non-woven fiber matrix combined with abrasive minerals to ensure consistent results, running cool and resisting load to prevent clogging and maintain high performance. Typical applications include adhesive removal, blending and blending corners, cleaning, cleaning internal diameters, coating removal, contour finishing, deburring including internal diameters, fine finishing, and general finishing.
