The 3M™ Scotch-Brite™ radial bristle disc measures 3 inches in diameter by 3/8 inch in thickness and features a ceramic 120 grit abrasive made from a proprietary 3M™ ceramic aluminum oxide blend that enhances toughness and hardness for superior performance. The disc uses molded, flexible bristles incorporating abrasive grains, providing more surface contact than wire brushes and maintaining abrasive properties throughout its lifespan. It effectively removes paint, stains, adhesives, weld burns, rust, heavy oxides, and surface contaminants from large areas, operating safely under light pressure with the flexible bristles remaining securely in place. Designed to outlast wire and other abrasive discs, it is suitable for use on aluminum, brass, bronze, carbon steel, cast iron, stainless steel, and other metals, making it ideal for general industrial, aerospace, automotive, metalworking, and transportation applications. The Scotch-Brite™ abrasives are embedded in a non-woven fiber matrix that offers consistent results throughout the product’s life, runs cool, and resists loading to maintain high cutting performance. This product is engineered for applications including adhesive removal, blending, blending corners, cleaning internal diameters, coating removal, contour finishing, deburring including internal diameters, fine finishing, and general finishing.
