The 3M™ Scotch-Brite™ radial bristle disc measures 3/4" diameter by 1/16" thickness and features a ceramic 400 grit abrasive using proprietary 3M™ ceramic aluminum oxide grain embedded in flexible molded bristles. Designed for fast surface contact and maintaining abrasive properties throughout its life, the disc removes paint, stains, adhesives, weld burns, rust, heavy oxides, and contaminants from large areas. Its flexible bristles remain securely in place under normal use and achieve desired finishes with light pressure, lasting longer than wire brushes and other abrasive discs. The disc is suitable for use on aluminum, brass, bronze, carbon steel, cast iron, stainless steel, and various other metals across general industrial, aerospace, automotive, metalworking, and transportation applications. The ceramic aluminum oxide blend enhances grain toughness, hardness, cut-rate, and durability, enabling moderate to heavy stock removal and finishing under intense heat and stress conditions. Scotch-Brite™ abrasives incorporate abrasive minerals into a non-woven fiber matrix which creates an abrasive system delivering consistent performance and load resistance by minimizing fiber clogging. Typical applications include adhesive removal, blending (including corners), cleaning (including internal diameters), coating removal, contour finishing, deburring (including internal diameters), and fine finishing.
