The 3M™ Scotch-Brite™ radial bristle disc measures 9/16" in diameter by 1/16" thickness and features a 400 grit ceramic abrasive grain. It utilizes proprietary 3M™ ceramic aluminum oxide blend molded into flexible bristles, providing more surface contact than wire brushes and maintaining abrasive properties throughout the life of the disc. Designed for fast-running applications, it removes paint, stains, adhesives, weld burns, rust, heavy oxides, and surface contaminants from large areas with light pressure. This disc is durable and outlasts wire and other abrasive discs, suitable for use on aluminum, brass, bronze, carbon steel, cast iron, stainless steel, and other metals. It is ideal for general industrial, aerospace, automotive, metalworking, and transportation applications. The ceramic aluminum oxide blend is engineered to frequently fracture, enhancing toughness and hardness for higher performance, handling moderate to heavy stock removal, finishing, and intense heat and stress applications. Scotch-Brite™ abrasives integrate abrasive minerals into a non-woven fiber matrix, creating an open-web material that runs cool and resists loading to maintain high cutting performance and consistent results. This disc supports adhesive removal, blending corners, cleaning internal diameters, contour finishing, deburring including internal diameters, fine finishing, and coating removal.
