The 3M™ Scotch-Brite™ Roloc™ disc RD-ZB features a 76 mm diameter ceramic 50 grit abrasive designed for efficient cleaning, stripping, deburring, blending, finishing, polishing, scratching, and rust and coating removal without damaging the base material. These fast-running discs utilize the 3M™ Roloc™ quick change attachment system and maintain bristle integrity under normal use, achieving the desired finish with light pressure. Suitable for steel, aluminum, and various metals, the discs are ideal for general maintenance, automotive, and engine rebuilding applications. The ceramic abrasive grain is manufactured using a proprietary process to enhance toughness and hardness, blending aluminum oxide with ceramic abrasive for one of the hardest, longest-lasting mineral compositions available. Designed for moderate to heavy stock removal, the ceramic abrasives cut fast and endure intense heat and stress, outperforming aluminum oxide in cut-rate and durability, making them well-suited for industrial grinding and finishing. The Scotch-Brite™ abrasives incorporate abrasives into a non-woven fiber matrix, creating an open-web material that runs cool and resists loading, maintaining high cutting performance by limiting fiber clogging. Applications include adhesive removal, blending and blending corners, cleaning, coating and paint stripping, deburring, finishing, polishing, prepping metal before painting, rust and sealant removal, and weld cleaning.
