The 3M™ Scotch-Brite™ radial bristle disc measuring 9/16" x 1/16" features a ceramic polish I grit and uses proprietary 3M™ ceramic abrasive grain combined with molded, flexible bristles, offering more surface contact than wire brushes while maintaining abrasive properties throughout the disc's life. The fast-running disc is designed for removal of paint, stains, adhesives, weld burns, rust, heavy oxides, and surface contaminants from large areas and works effectively on aluminum, brass, bronze, carbon steel, cast iron, stainless steel, and other metals. It is suitable for general industrial, aerospace, automotive, metalworking, transportation, and automotive applications. The ceramic aluminum oxide blend ceramic mineral enhances toughness and hardness, designed to fracture frequently, outperforming aluminum oxide abrasives in cut-rate and durability, making it ideal for moderate to heavy stock removal and finishing, as well as handling intense heat and stress applications. Scotch-Brite™ abrasives incorporate abrasives into a non-woven fiber matrix, creating an abrasive system that delivers consistent results throughout the product's life; the open-web material is load resistant and runs cool, limiting clogging and maintaining high cutting performance. Applications include adhesive removal, blending, blending corners, cleaning, cleaning internal diameters, coating removal, contour finishing, deburring, deburring internal diameters, and fine finishing. The product is designed to last longer than wire and other abrasive discs and achieves desired finishes using light pressure under normal use.
