The 3M™ Scotch-Brite™ Radial Bristle Disc 9/16" x 1/16" Ceramic Polish II Grit features proprietary 3M™ ceramic abrasive grain and molded flexible bristles, providing greater surface contact than wire brushes while maintaining abrasive properties throughout the disc's life. This fast-running disc is designed for removing paint, stains, adhesives, weld burns, rust, heavy oxides, and surface contaminants from large areas. Under normal use, the flexible bristles remain securely in place, achieving the desired finish with light pressure. The disc is designed to last longer than wire and other abrasive discs and is suitable for use on aluminum, brass, bronze, carbon steel, cast iron, stainless steel, and other metals. It is intended for general industrial, aerospace, automotive, metalworking, and transportation applications. The 3M™ ceramic aluminum oxide blend abrasive grain is engineered to enhance toughness and hardness, frequently fracturing to surpass aluminum oxide abrasives in cut-rate and durability, making it ideal for moderate to heavy stock removal and finishing, withstanding intense heat and stress. Scotch-Brite™ abrasives combine abrasives with a non-woven fiber matrix, creating a system that delivers consistent performance over the product's life. The open-web material remains cool and resists loading, which maintains high abrasive cutting performance by limiting fiber clogging. Typical applications include adhesive removal, blending, blending corners, cleaning internal diameters, coating removal, contour finishing, deburring, deburring internal diameters, and fine finishing. The product includes the disc itself and is designed with dimensions of 9/16" diameter and 1/16" thickness.
