The 3M™ Scotch-Brite™ radial bristle disc, measuring 3/4" x 1/16" with thin bristles and ceramic M1 grit, utilizes proprietary 3M™ ceramic abrasive grain embedded in flexible, molded bristles to provide increased surface contact compared to wire brushes, maintaining abrasive properties throughout the disc’s life. Designed for fast removal of paint, stains, adhesives, weld burns, rust, heavy oxides, and surface contaminants on large areas, this disc performs well on aluminum, brass, bronze, carbon steel, cast iron, stainless steel, and other metals. Suitable for general industrial, aerospace, automotive, metalworking, and transportation applications, the disc’s flexible bristles remain securely in place under normal use and achieve the desired finish with light pressure. The 3M™ ceramic aluminum oxide blend enhances toughness and hardness through a proprietary process, offering higher cut rates and durability than aluminum oxide abrasives, making it ideal for moderate to heavy stock removal and finishing in intense heat and stress conditions. Scotch-Brite™ abrasives incorporate abrasive grains into a non-woven fiber matrix, creating an abrasive system that delivers consistent results, resists loading, runs cool, and preserves high cutting performance by limiting clogging. The disc is certified for use in various industrial applications including adhesive removal, blending, coating removal, contour finishing, and deburring, including internal diameters.
