The 3M™ Scotch-Brite™ radial bristle disc thin bristle measures 2" x 3/8" and features a ceramic 220 grit abrasive made with proprietary 3M™ ceramic abrasive grain and molded flexible bristles. It provides more surface contact than wire brushes and maintains abrasive properties throughout the life of the disc, making it suitable for removing paint, stains, adhesives, weld burns, rust, heavy oxides, and surface contaminants from large areas. The flexible bristles remain securely in place under normal use and achieve the desired finish with light pressure. Designed to last longer than wire and other abrasive discs, it works effectively on aluminum, brass, bronze, carbon steel, cast iron, stainless steel, and other metals for general industrial, aerospace, automotive, metalworking, transportation, and automotive applications. The ceramic aluminum oxide blend is a ceramic mineral that enhances toughness and hardness, engineered to fracture frequently, outperforming aluminum oxide abrasives in cut rate and durability. It is suitable for moderate to heavy stock removal and finishing, handling intense heat and stress applications. Scotch-Brite™ abrasives incorporate abrasive minerals into a non-woven fiber matrix, delivering consistent results throughout the product's life. The open-web material runs cool and resists load buildup to keep abrasive minerals cutting effectively by limiting clogging. Typical applications include adhesive removal, blending, blending corners, cleaning, cleaning internal diameters, coating removal, contour finishing, deburring, deburring internal diameters, and fine finishing.
