The 3M™ Scotch-Brite™ radial bristle disc thin bristle measures 3 inches by 3/8 inch and features 80 grit ceramic abrasive. It uses proprietary 3M™ ceramic abrasive grain combined with molded, flexible bristles that provide more surface contact than wire brushes while maintaining abrasive properties throughout the disc's life. The disc efficiently removes paint, stains, adhesives, weld burns, rust, heavy oxides, and other surface contaminants from large areas. Under normal use, the flexible bristles remain securely in place, enabling the desired finish with light pressure. This disc is designed to last longer than wire and other abrasive discs and is effective on aluminum, brass, bronze, carbon steel, cast iron, stainless steel, and other metals. It is suitable for general industrial, aerospace, automotive, metalworking, transportation, and automotive applications. The 3M™ ceramic aluminum oxide blend is engineered to enhance toughness and hardness, offering superior cut rate and durability compared to aluminum oxide abrasives, making it ideal for moderate to heavy stock removal and finishing. Scotch-Brite™ abrasives integrate abrasives into a non-woven fiber matrix, combining an abrasive system that delivers consistent results throughout its life, with an open-web material that runs cool and resists clogging, ensuring high performance by maintaining abrasive mineral cutting efficiency. The disc is commonly used for adhesive removal, blending, blending corners, cleaning, cleaning internal diameters, coating removal, contour finishing, deburring, deburring internal diameters, and fine finishing.
