The 3M™ Scotch-Brite™ radial bristle disc thin bristle measures 3" x 3/8" and features a ceramic 220 grit abrasive. It utilizes proprietary 3M™ ceramic abrasive grain combined with molded, flexible bristles to provide more surface contact than wire brushes while maintaining abrasive properties throughout the life of the disc. Designed for fast operation, the disc effectively removes paint, stains, adhesives, weld burns, rust, heavy oxides, and surface contaminants from large areas. Under normal use, the flexible bristles remain securely in place and achieve the desired finish using light pressure. The disc is durable, lasting longer than wire and other abrasive discs, and is suitable for use on aluminum, brass, bronze, carbon steel, cast iron, stainless steel, and other metals across industries including general industrial, aerospace, automotive, metalworking, and transportation. The abrasive incorporates a 3M™ ceramic aluminum oxide blend, engineered to be tougher and harder than conventional abrasives, providing superior cut-rate and durability, ideal for moderate to heavy stock removal and finishing while withstanding intense heat and stress. Scotch-Brite™ abrasives combine abrasives and a non-woven fiber matrix, creating an abrasive system that delivers consistent results throughout the product's life, with an open-web material that runs cool, resists loading, and maintains high cutting performance. The disc is suitable for applications including adhesive removal, blending (including corners), cleaning (including internal diameters), coating removal, contour finishing, and deburring (including internal diameters).
