The 3M™ Scotch-Brite™ radial bristle disc is a 3" x 3/8" thin-bristle disc featuring a 6 micron ceramic abrasive grit designed for surface conditioning. It uses proprietary 3M™ ceramic abrasive grain combined with molded, flexible bristles that provide more surface contact than wire brushes and maintain abrasive properties throughout the disc’s life. The disc is suitable for removing paint, stains, adhesives, weld burns, rust, heavy oxides, and surface contaminants from large areas. Under normal use, the flexible bristles remain securely in place and achieve the desired finish with light pressure. The disc is durable, lasting longer than wire and other abrasive discs, and is compatible with aluminum, brass, bronze, carbon steel, cast iron, stainless steel, and other metals. It is intended for general industrial, aerospace, automotive, metalworking, and transportation applications. The ceramic aluminum oxide blend abrasive is engineered for toughness and hardness, frequently fracturing to maintain cutting performance, surpassing aluminum oxide abrasives in both cut rate and durability. It handles moderate to heavy stock removal as well as finishing, cutting fast and withstanding intense heat and stress. Scotch-Brite™ abrasives incorporate abrasives into a non-woven fiber matrix, creating a product that delivers consistent results over its lifetime. The open-web material runs cool and resists loading, limiting fiber clogging to keep abrasive minerals cutting efficiently. The kit package includes the 3" x 3/8" radial bristle disc with 6 micron ceramic grit, designed for adhesive removal, blending including corners and internal diameters, coating removal, contour finishing, and deburring including internal diameters. The product meets industry standards for durability and performance, and includes warranties consistent with 3M’s terms and conditions.
