The 3M™ Scotch-Brite™ Radial Bristle Disc thin bristle measures 3" x 3/8" and features a ceramic M1 grit utilizing proprietary 3M™ ceramic abrasive grain and molded, flexible bristles, which provide more surface contact than wire brushes while maintaining abrasive properties throughout the disc's life. This fast-running disc is designed for removing paint, stains, adhesives, weld burns, rust, heavy oxides, and surface contaminants from large areas with light pressure, and its flexible bristles remain securely in place under normal use. It is engineered to last longer than wire and other abrasive discs and is suitable for use on aluminum, brass, bronze, carbon steel, cast iron, stainless steel, and other metals, making it ideal for general industrial, aerospace, automotive, metalworking, and transportation applications. The 3M™ ceramic aluminum oxide blend, developed through a proprietary process, combines toughness and hardness for enhanced performance, frequently fracturing to surpass aluminum oxide abrasives in cut-rate and durability. This abrasive is perfect for moderate to heavy stock removal and finishing, cutting fast while handling intense heat and stress applications. Scotch-Brite™ abrasives incorporate abrasives into a non-woven fiber matrix, creating an abrasive system that delivers consistent results throughout the product’s life; the open-web material runs cool and resists loading, preserving high-performance cutting by limiting clogging of fibers.
