The connectors are manufactured from high conductivity seamless copper tubing and are tin-plated to inhibit corrosion. They feature a beveled entry for easy cable insertion, along with positive cable stops to ensure proper insertion of conductors to full depth. The long barrel design provides a high pull-out force and added security, enhancing both mechanical and electrical properties. The color-coded barrels are marked with die index numbers for easy identification. These connectors are suitable for voltages up to 35kV if taped according to accepted practices, with a maximum voltage level of 5kV in all bare splice applications. They are UL listed and CSA certified, compatible with Penn-Union, Burndy, T&B, Huskie, Greenlee, and Versa-Crimp® style tooling, and appropriate for 600-volt heavy-duty applications.
