The kit features an IP67 protection rating, making it completely immersible for 24 hours. It includes a back shell with a removable bell nozzle that accepts adapters for liquid-tight fittings, constructed with electro zinc plated steel screws that are corrosive resistant. The device is UL listed and CSA certified, and it contains recessed female contacts that are finger recessed to prevent accidental touching. The split contact sleeve features nickel plated steel springs, providing optimum insertion and withdrawal force with constant contact pressure liability and a wiping action to clean terminals from oxidation build-up. Terminal identification for ground, neutral, and phase is clearly marked and color-coded by voltage to ensure easy matching and eliminate errors. The ground termination is positioned higher to allow for cable slack. All IP67 devices come with nickel-plated pins that are corrosion resistant, and double terminal screws are provided on all amperage devices. An internal "swing away" strain relief is integrated within the device, and the ground connection is designed to be the "first to mate, last to break" for no shock safety. There is arc flash protection if the device is disconnected under load, with all male and female pins completely covered at all times. The chamfered funnel entry terminals guide and capture all wire strands, while a neoprene "onion ring" cable sealing bushing provides a range-taking seal. A locking ring and gasket protect against the intrusion of dirt, dust, and moisture when the male and female devices are connected, and a spring-loaded gasket cover protects against accidental encounters with live contacts, as well as against dirt and moisture intrusion.
