The kit includes a UL listed and CSA certified back shell featuring a removable bell nozzle that accepts adapters for liquid tight fittings. It has recessed female contacts designed to prevent accidental touching, with clear terminal identification for ground, neutral, and phase. The color-coded system by voltage facilitates easy matching and minimizes errors. The ground termination is positioned higher for added cable slack, utilizing solid brass pins that provide low contact resistance and high conductivity for a reliable electrical connection. The device incorporates a split contact sleeve with nickel-plated steel springs, ensuring optimum insertion and withdrawal force as well as constant contact pressure. Additionally, it features a wiping action to clean terminals from oxidation build-up upon disconnection, double terminal screws for all amperage devices, and an internal swing-away strain relief. The design ensures ground is the first to mate and last to break, enhancing safety against shock. With arc flash protection if disconnected under load, the pins are completely covered at all times.
