The kit includes features such as UL listed and CSA certified components, a new version dome connector back shell that functions as an external strain relief, and a screwless back shell designed for less labor-intensive, faster, and safer installation. It boasts recessed female contacts with finger recesses to prevent accidental touching, terminal identification clearly marked for ground, neutral, and phase, and color coding by voltage for easy matching and error reduction. The ground termination is positioned higher to allow for cable slack, utilizing solid brass pins for low contact resistance and high conductivity, ensuring long-lasting and reliable electrical contact. The split contact sleeve is equipped with nickel plated steel springs, providing optimum insertion/withdrawal force and constant contact pressure reliability, while also offering a wiping action when disconnected to clean terminals from oxidation buildup. Additionally, double terminal screws are included on all amperage devices, and the design ensures that the ground is "first to mate, last to break" for enhanced safety, along with arc flash protection if disconnected under load, ensuring all pins, both male and female, are always completely covered.
