The kit includes a connector with IP67 protection, ensuring it is completely immersible for 24 hours, and a back shell featuring a removable bell nozzle for accommodating adapters for liquid-tight fittings. The back shell is equipped with electro zinc plated steel screws that are corrosive resistant. It is UL listed and CSA certified, with shrouded male pins designed to prevent accidental contact upon insertion. The terminal identification for ground, neutral, and phase is clearly marked and color-coded by voltage for easy matching and error prevention. The ground termination is positioned higher to allow for cable slack, while nickel-plated pins on all IP67 devices enhance corrosion resistance. All amperage devices feature double terminal screws, and an internal "swing away" strain relief is included within the device. The design also incorporates a "ground first to mate, last to break" feature for no shock safety and arc flash protection if disconnected under load, ensuring that all male and female pins are completely covered at all times. Chamfered funnel entry terminals facilitate the guiding and capturing of wire strands, and a neoprene "onion ring" cable sealing bushing provides a range-taking seal.
