The 3M™ Scotch-Brite™ cut and polish flap brush measures 12" x 1" x 5" and features medium grit aluminum oxide abrasive. It is constructed using proprietary 3M non-woven materials technology with an open web design that reduces loading and maintains effective cutting action longer, resulting in less frequent replacement compared to conventional brushes. The brush combines fiber strands, resin, and abrasive mineral in a thick, open web with spring-like fibers that conform to contours, efficiently removing burrs, soils, and contaminants while preserving the work piece geometry to reduce rework. The web’s gaps allow swarf to escape, preventing mineral clogging, and fibers break down with use to expose fresh mineral, offering consistent performance and long service life. The brush is suited for applications such as aesthetic finishing, weld blending, deburring, blending, contour finishing, polishing, radiusing, and refining metal fabrication parts, making it ideal for the metal fabrication industry.
