The 3M™ flap wheel type 83 244D measures 1-1/2" x 1" x 1/4" and features 60 grit aluminum oxide abrasive. It is a general-purpose flap wheel designed to deliver a consistent finish and uniform cut, made of aluminum oxide on a firm, X-weight cloth backing. This abrasive material is known for its fast cut-rate and long life, as it self-fractures to expose fresh cutting edges, making it suitable for a variety of grinding, sanding, and polishing applications. The flap wheel is resin bonded for heat resistance and equipped with a straight spindle mount for easy attachment to bench motors, die grinders, and inline sanders.
