The Thermo Scientific™ explosion-proof Safe-T HP6 hotplates are designed for applications in Class I/Group D atmospheres, offering essential features such as over temperature safety monitors and precise thermostatic controls, all housed in a sealed aluminum casing suitable for hazardous environments. The thermostatic safety is set at 243°C (469.4°F), ensuring added protection while maintaining temperature within 5.5°C (9.9°F). The cast aluminum top plate enhances heat transfer and uniformity with a variation of only 6.5°C (11.7°F). The corrosion-resistant steel case allows for easy cleaning and maintenance, and the units can accommodate loads of up to 25 lb. (11.3 kg) in metal vessels or containers. The hotplates have a performance specification of boiling 600 ml of water in 60 minutes. They are recommended for recrystallizations involving organic solvents and for dry/heat-treating silicone wafers. Note that these units will not ship to residential addresses.
