The Thermo Scientific™ RT2 Basic Hotplate Stirrer is designed to provide safety and consistent stirring speed with features such as microprocessor PID control and stirring capability up to 2,000 RPM. The device includes a feedback function that maintains regular speed in case of viscosity changes and has a temperature range with a maximum of 350°C / 662°F. It offers a stirring capacity of up to 20 liters (H2O) and features a ceramic-coated aluminum alloy top plate, which measures 140 mm / 5.5" in diameter, ensuring excellent temperature uniformity and corrosion resistance. The overall dimensions are 290 x 161 x 100 mm / 11.42" x 6.34" x 3.94", and the unit is made of aluminum with an LED digital display featuring 0.1°C resolution. For safety, the hot top warning indicator illuminates when the unit is off but still plugged in, and it includes an automatic over-temperature shut off, a detachable power cord, and an option for a transparent shield to protect against splashes. The device has a heating power of 600W, a maximum load of 25 kg / 55.1 lb., and operates at 120V, 60Hz. This unit will not ship to residential addresses.
