The 3M™ Scotch-Brite™ Cut and Polish Unitized Wheel CP-UW measures 2" x 1/4" x 1/8" and is made with aluminum oxide abrasive mineral in a tightly layered, durable, unitized wheel construction available in medium to hard densities. Designed for aggressive deburring, blending, and finishing on harder metals, it is particularly suited for portable applications and jobs requiring small diameters and narrow widths. This wheel combines aluminum oxide, known for its high cut-rate, hardness, strength, low heat retention, and long life due to its self-fracturing abrasive properties, with a tough nylon web to ensure uniform results, smooth running, and fast cutting while resisting loading and heat buildup. The unitized wheel replaces conventional abrasives like rubber bonded wheels and small set-up wheels, offering superior performance on a wide variety of substrates, including ferrous alloys, in both woodworking and metalworking. Scotch-Brite™ industrial abrasives incorporate abrasives into non-woven nylon or synthetic fibers, creating an open-web material that runs cool, is load resistant, and maintains high performance by limiting clogging throughout the product's life.
