The 3M™ Scotch-Brite™ Cross Buff 1-1/2" x 3/8" VFN Grit Aluminum Oxide kit includes a 2-ply staggered design polishing and cleaning tool featuring a nylon web with aluminum oxide abrasive, suitable for satin finishing, denibbing, and defuzzing interior diameters of metal components such as lifter bores, valve bodies, valve spools, and tubing. Its conformability allows effective removal of surface oxidation, rust, and corrosion on dies and molds prior to coating and polishing. The aluminum oxide abrasive provides a high luster finish due to its high cut-rate, hardness, strength, and low heat retention, making it durable and long-lasting by self-fracturing to expose fresh cutting edges during use. The Scotch-Brite™ Cross Buff is widely used in aerospace, automotive, and metal fabrication industries for blending, cleaning, deburring, and polishing both external and internal diameters.
