The 3M™ Scotch-Brite™ High Strength Disc 8" x 1/2" Fine Grit Aluminum Oxide is a general-purpose disc made of a durable, tough, non-woven open web designed to effectively clean, deburr, denib/defuzz, and achieve satin finishes. Its construction resists loading and runs cool, maintaining consistent abrasive cutting performance throughout the disc's life. The disc conforms well to irregular surfaces and tight areas without damaging the base material and can be used individually or stacked on a straight shaft tool or bench motor for conditioning larger areas such as bar grates, louvers, vents, and tracks. This unique surface conditioning product incorporates abrasives into non-woven nylon fibers, creating an abrasive system that delivers consistent results while limiting clogging. Its applications include cleaning, coating removal, contour finishing, deburring, finishing, and weld cleaning across industries such as aerospace, general industrial, metalworking, MRO, transportation, and heavy equipment.
