The 3M™ Scotch-Brite™ Hookit™ Production Clean and Finish Disc measures 6 inches in diameter with a NH VFN aluminum oxide abrasive. It delivers a high cut rate, long life, and fine finish, making it effective for conditioning aluminum, stainless steel, plastics, wood, and fiberglass. Designed for fine finishing, paint prepping, and scratch blending, the disc conforms well to irregular surfaces, providing a clean, consistent finish without undercutting or damaging the base material. The non-woven, open-web construction runs cool and resists loading, maintaining a consistent abrasive conditioning throughout the disc's life. Manufactured using aluminum oxide, known for its fast cut-rate, hardness, strength, low heat retention, and durability, this abrasive self-fractures to expose fresh cutting edges, outperforming traditional abrasives such as garnet. The disc's abrasive system integrates abrasives into non-woven nylon fibers, resulting in consistent performance and reduced clogging due to the load-resistant open-web material.
