The 3M™ Scotch-Brite™ Hookit™ Production Clean and Finish Disc measures 5 inches and features a Non-Hex (NH) Very Fine (VFN) aluminum oxide abrasive designed for high cut, long life, and fine finishing on materials including aluminum, stainless steel, plastics, wood, and fiberglass. It is engineered for fine finishing, paint prepping, and scratch blending, conforming well to irregular surfaces to provide a clean, consistent finish without undercutting or damaging the base material. The disc is constructed with non-woven, open-web nylon fibers incorporated with aluminum oxide mineral, known for its toughness, fast cut-rate, long life, and resistance to heat retention, making it suitable for grinding, sanding, and finishing various substrates including ferrous alloys. The open-web design runs cool, resists loading, and prevents clogging, sustaining abrasive conditioning throughout the product’s life.
