The 3M™ Scotch-Brite™ cut and polish unitized wheel measures 3" x 1" x 1/4" and features a medium grit aluminum oxide abrasive. This tightly layered, durable unitized wheel is available in medium to hard densities and is designed for aggressive deburring, blending, and finishing on harder metals, particularly where portability is required. The wheel serves as an excellent replacement for conventional abrasive products such as rubber bonded wheels and small set-up wheels. It incorporates a tough nylon web combined with aluminum oxide mineral, selected for its high cut-rate, hardness, strength, self-fracturing properties that expose fresh cutting edges, durability, and low heat retention, making it suitable for woodworking and metalworking applications including use on ferrous alloys. The tightly layered construction and aggressive properties ensure a smooth running, fast cutting wheel that runs cool and resists loading. Scotch-Brite™ industrial abrasives combine abrasives with non-woven nylon or synthetic fibers, creating an abrasive system that delivers consistent results throughout the product’s life.
