The 3M™ Scotch-Brite™ Multi-Finishing Wheel measures 8" x 1" x 3" CRS and features a convolute construction designed for cleaning and final finishing on stainless steel, aluminum, brass, copper, and other metals. It combines mineral grades with soft density to provide a high degree of conformability and reduced density suitable for final finishing applications. The wheel is ideal for producing #3 or #4 finishes on both curved, contoured, and flat surfaces, running cool and resisting loading thanks to its open-web construction, which minimizes part discoloration and warping while extending wheel life. Available in coarse, medium, and fine grade abrasives, the wheel uses silicon carbide—a sharp synthetic mineral commonly used for low-pressure applications such as paint preparation—offering a superior finish despite breaking down faster than aluminum oxide. Scotch-Brite™ industrial abrasives incorporate abrasives into non-woven nylon or synthetic fibers, creating a system that delivers consistent results throughout the product’s life. The open-web material enhances performance by preventing fiber clogging and maintaining high cutting efficiency. Applications include blending, finishing, and straight-line brushed finishes for builders hardware, medical instruments, metal fabrication, metal implants, plumbing fixtures, and turbine engines across these industries as well.
