The 3M™ Scotch-Brite™ radial bristle brush measures 7-5/8" x 1" x 1 1/4" with a flange and features ceramic 80 grit abrasive grain made from a proprietary ceramic mineral blended with aluminum oxide, molded into flexible bristles for enhanced surface contact compared to wire brushes while maintaining abrasive properties throughout the brush's life. This brush effectively removes paint, stains, adhesives, weld burns, rust, heavy oxides, and surface contaminants using light pressure, with bristles designed to remain safely in place under normal use. The Scotch-Brite™ bristle disc offers longer-lasting performance than wire and other abrasive discs and is suitable for use on aluminum, brass, bronze, carbon steel, cast iron, stainless steel, and other metals across industries such as general industrial, aerospace, automotive, metalworking, transportation, electronics, jewelry, and woodworking. The ceramic abrasive grain is engineered for toughness, hardness, high cut-rate, durability, and heat resistance, making it ideal for moderate to heavy stock removal and industrial grinding and finishing applications. Scotch-Brite™ industrial abrasives combine non-woven nylon or synthetic fibers with abrasives to deliver consistent surface conditioning results, with an open-web material that runs cool and resists loading to maintain cutting efficiency.
