The 3M™ Scotch-Brite™ Light Deburring Wheel measures 12 inches by 2 inches by 5 inches with a Fine 6S grit silicon carbide abrasive. It features a convolute construction designed for smooth running, providing a clean system for light deburring, polishing, and finishing. The wheel’s soft construction and smooth operation require less effort than harder wheels and offer a moderate degree of conformability and density to maintain critical tolerances while delivering a fine polished finish. A unique resin system minimizes smearing and reduces heat buildup, while the non-woven web construction allows the wheel to run cool and resist loading, reducing the risk of part discoloration and warping and extending wheel life. The fine grade silicon carbide abrasive is a synthetic mineral noted for its sharpness, suitable for low-pressure applications such as paint preparation, producing a superior finish despite breaking down faster than aluminum oxide. Scotch-Brite™ industrial abrasives incorporate abrasives into non-woven nylon or synthetic fibers, creating a system that maintains consistent results throughout product life.
