Its conformable design makes it ideal for deburring stamped or laser-cut parts and for finishing after belt sanding, resulting in a clean surface without smearing, which reduces the need for additional cleanup and preparation. The convolute construction ensures clean, uniform wear for smooth operation and helps the operator achieve a professional finish while minimizing fatigue. The Scotch-Brite material operates coolly, offering uniform wear and continuously exposing fresh abrasives, making it effective on heat-sensitive substrates, while its toughness extends service life. The EXL Deburring Wheel is available with either silicon carbide or aluminum oxide abrasive minerals; silicon carbide, a very sharp synthetic mineral, is typically used for low-pressure applications such as paint preparation and finishing, while aluminum oxide offers a high cut-rate and long life. Though silicon carbide breaks down faster, it produces a finer finish. This unique surface conditioning product incorporates abrasives into non-woven nylon fibers, resulting in an abrasive system that delivers consistent performance throughout its lifespan.
